
This painting "The Charge" by Jack Terry represents the last fly over on December 2008 1st Cavalry Division of the casing of their colors on Cooper field in preparation for deployment to Iraq. The flyover included 2 AH-64D Longbow, 2 UH-60 Blackhawks, and 2 CH-47D Chinooks.
The overflight of the aircraft was perfectly coordinated in April 2010. Also captured in the clouds is representation of Vietnam brothers and current Troopers of the 1st Calvary Division. Pilots included Air Calvary Brigades Commander Doug Gabram Senior warrant officer CW5 Mike Reese.
Two of the greatest Army Aviators and former 1st Calvary officers, Medal of Honor winner Colonel (R) Bruce Crandall and the 31st Vice Chief of Staff of the Army General (R) Dick Cody are represented in the bottom margin of the print.
